A storm's a-brewin'
Here we have bunch of camels walking through the desert while a (faked) tornado looms on the horizon. It's hard not to notice the cheesily Photoshopped eagle, which I suppose symbolizes U.S. forces on their way to pummel the region. Unbelievable. This sign is one of the funniest pro-war ones I've seen yet...it reveals so much about the man holding it. Oh, if he had only consulted a dictionary. Oh, wait, he probably doesn't have room for one in the trailer. Ah, well.

Beyond the fringe

A child in military fatigues, ready to go out and face the horrors of war. How...disturbing. Do we need to associate children with such ugliness, especially when peoples' sons and daughters are being killed in Iraq daily? (Yes, I know it's not supposed to be taken literally...but he IS wearing fatigues. OK, I'll shut up now...)

- Before you send me hate mail...I don't hate the flag, and I don't hate my country. What I do hate is the way marketing people have turned the flag (and America's patriotism) into a way to sell anything and everything they can. I am also disturbed by the fact that people seem to think that waving a flag makes them better Americans. It doesn't.
