Of all the photos on this site, my Photoshop job of Jesus wrapped in an American flag (originally seen on this post) has been linked to the most.  One guy, not aware that it was a parody image, blogged about it in detail a couple of years ago...and it's actually quite interesting.  Click the link to read more!  (Read the comments, too. :)

And here we have perhaps the most blatantly idolatrous picture of the American Jesus that I have seen thus far. This image seems to communicate a few essential features of the American perversion of the image of Christ in contemporary imagination.

I have been taking pix of bizarre flag sightings.  Here's a nice billboard pic I think you'll like, from right here in Atlanta.

I really can't add much to this...  It's just a staggering (yet hilarious) example of in-your-face arrogance.  I think healing our land will take a bit more action on our part, wouldn't you say?  But just for fun I created a companion image for this billboard, depicting Jesus wrapped in the American flag.  Can't you just picture this printed on a Franklin Mint plate or something??

Whilst surfing for interesting variations of the Jesus Fish, I discovered a wonderful storehouse of silly religoius &  patriotic peepeecaca called The Christian Dollar Store.   Yes, you read that right.  Go check it out, it's a hoot!  And look what this pin is supposed to say:  "I'm not only an American, but I'm also a Christian."  That means people should kiss your ass extra.
